Ohio women voted 54% for Al Gore in 2000 but only 50% for John Kerry in 2004. If as many women would have voted for Kerry by the same margin they voted for Gore, John Kerry would have won Ohio by a little over 124,000 votes. Instead, he lost Ohio by 118,000 votes.
WOMEN WIN ELECTIONS!
It's up to us to talk to other persuadable women voters about why we are voting for Barack Obama and the
rest of the Democratic ticket this year. They are ready for a conversation about the issues that affect their
everyday lives, and they need to know the TRUTH about John McCain and his failed policies and ideas.
The ODWC will organize a statewide postcard writing campaign that will target soft-Republican and
Independent women likely to have children.
Our goal is to handwrite and send postcards to at least 118,000 persuadable women voters.
ODWC will provide postcards, lists of addresses for
the persuadable women, talking points and a guide to hosting a successful party.
YOU will invite your friends, family, and co-workers to Women for Obama
Postcard Parties that will take place on the 2nd, 3rd, and/or 4th Wednesday in September.
